HEALING AT THE ROOT.
Psychotherapy for Men & Women — Nashville, Tennessee
Are you showing up, holding it together, trying to make it work?
Yet, something still feels off—perhaps it’s a persistent hum of anxiety, old patterns you can’t seem to shake, or a kind of tired that rest doesn’t fix. If this sounds familiar, therapy is a space to slow down and explore what lies beneath the surface.
THE PROCESS
The clients I work with often have full lives, meaningful relationships, and a knack for caring deeply. But internally, there’s a quiet weight—an emotional undercurrent that’s hard to name.
I believe that when we slow down and bring awareness to our internal and external experiences, the conditions for healing begin to emerge.
You start to notice what’s been shaping your inner world—patterns, emotions, beliefs—and with time, there's more space to feel it all and make sense of the story behind it.
MY APPROACH
My approach is collaborative and rooted in research-backed methods that support lasting change.
I draw from psychodynamic therapy, emotionally focused individual therapy (EFIT), somatic practices, mindfulness-based strategies, and cognitive therapy, often tending toward a psychotherapy method known as the “here-and-now.”
This approach allows us to explore how old patterns and survival strategies continue to shape your present-day experiences, while staying grounded in real-time events.
The goal isn’t to overanalyze but to understand what’s underneath, working with emotions and the nervous system to foster deepened self-awareness, improved emotional well-being, and healthier, more rewarding relationships.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in Washington, D.C. at a creative consulting firm, helping shape brand stories. But what always drew me in wasn’t the messaging—it was the people behind it. The complexity, the contradictions, the need to be understood. That’s what made the work feel meaningful.
Today, I bring that same curiosity into the therapy room. My approach is holistic and depth-oriented, grounded in the belief that real healing must tend to the full spectrum of who we are—mind, body, and spirit.
I recognize the profound privilege that is being allowed into another person’s story while it is unfolding in real time, in the midst of chapters that might be painful or uncertain. It’s here that I seek to create a refuge for clients, providing a space of deep care, authenticity, and, when the moment calls for it, a touch of humor.

Healing can take many forms. I resonate with the depth-oriented approaches outlined below and incorporate these modalities to support your goals in our work together.
Psychodynamic Therapy – Explores unconscious patterns and past experiences that influence present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
EFIT (Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy) – Uses attachment-based principles to help clients process emotions in a deeper, more adaptive way, strengthening their ability to form secure relationships.
Somatic Therapy – Focuses on body awareness and regulation, addressing how trauma is stored in the nervous system.
Mindfulness-Based Practices – Encourages present-moment awareness and self-compassion to reduce reactivity and foster emotional balance.
Cognitive Therapy – Helps clients recognize and shift limiting beliefs and thought patterns that reinforce self-defeating behaviors.

It's entirely your choice. Some clients appreciate ongoing support from a therapist, while others prefer to focus on a specific issue and then move on. I check in with clients at regular intervals to make sure they continue to receive a sense of meaningful support and progress in their work.
